You’re gay? Guess what? There’s nothing wrong with you.

I feel that this shouldn’t be reiterated in this day and age, but I heard a story that demands this reminder.

If you’re gay, there is NOTHING wrong with you.

If you are being bullied for being gay, there is NOTHING wrong with you and EVERYTHING wrong with those bullies. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, you are you, and you are perfect as you are. NO ONE can tell you otherwise. Be proud of who you are. And know that people love you just as you are and would not have you any other way.

If you are a victim of bullying, please speak out. You are never alone in this fight. There are people you can turn to. Do not give up. My heart breaks for those who feel they are completely alone. You are not. Speak up and be strong. You have people who will support you. I can’t imagine the torture you are feeling, but I can tell you that I will be one of many who will help you if/when you need it.

Know you are loved regardless of who you love. Please, remember that always.
